Are Decléor products tested on animals?
No, Decléor Aroma-Skincare products are not tested on animals. Instead, Decléor conducts tolerance tests and efficacy tests for each new product. We use two so-called alternative testing methods to check for tolerance: tests on cell cultures and user tests with a panel and precise protocol. These tests are conducted on volunteers by specialised independent laboratories, and the efficacy tests are conducted under medical control.

What does "Decléor, the Aroma-skincare specialist" mean ?
Aroma-Skincare is the use of essential oils in skincare applications. It is a science and a specialist's field. The development of a balanced formula is extremely critical and requires perfect mastery of Aroma-Skincare techniques. It is not enough to simply distil a few plants and obtain an "elixir" with extraordinary properties. To create an "AROMESSENCE™", the Decléor Research and Development laboratories leave nothing to chance; we ensure several criteria in order to guarantee irreproachably excellent results: the quality of the plant matter, the advanced technical level of the distillation process and the purity and chemical profile of the essential oils. I heard that there are many different qualities of essential oils. Is this true and if so, what are your different criteria ?
Yes, there are many factors that influence the quality of essential oils: the place of cultivation of the plants, the climatic conditions, the botanical species, the part of the plant distilled, the manner in which the plants are harvested and stored, as well as the distillation type and process. There are also "good" and "bad" production years.
To ensure its reputation, Decléor offers a threefold guarantee by drawing up a precise identity chart that identifies for each essential oil:

The purity of Decléor essential oils is characterised by an oil that is:
·100% pure: i.e. undiluted and unmixed,

The chromatogram test allows Decléor to scientifically validate the active profile of each essential oil after each harvest.

Why should I apply AROMESSENCE™ before my skin-care cream ?
For Decléor, beauty has always begun by applying two drops of AROMESSENCE™ before the skincare cream. Decléor has designed an AROMESSENCE™ for each skin type. Each of these 100% pure and natural AROMESSENCE™ products has the ability to penetrate to the very heart of the epidermis. Are two drops of AROMESSENCE™ really enough?
Yes, however "two drops" is a figure of speech - the essential Decléor application step consists of applying a couple of drops, morning and night, before your skincare cream, i.e. a very small quantity of AROMESSENCE™. A couple drops are really all you need to stimulate cellular activity, thanks to the effectiveness of the different pure micro-molecules that penetrate to the heart of skin tissue. The non-greasy finish of the product soothes your skin, which breathes with new life.

Can I apply an AROMESSENCE™ and then expose myself to the sun ?
Decléor has formulated an AROMESSENCE™ SOLAIRE, a self-defence treatment that protects the skin from harsh environmental conditions. This product has been tested non-photosensitising and hypoallergenic. This 100% natural treatment has proven its ability to increase cellular resistance to the damaging effects of the sun. It actually prepares your skin for the sun. However, it should only be applied before or after sun exposure. After using AROMESSENCE™ SOLAIRE, you can apply a cream with an SPF level adapted to your phototype for maximum skin protection and a gradual, long-lasting tan.

I love HYDRA FLORAL with its phyto-aromatic sources. Can I use it all year long ?
Yes. HYDRA FLORAL is a treatment that targets thirsty skin. Skin subject to daily exposure will always need its moisturising cream. This is why you should quench your skin's thirst and replenish it every day to provide it with ultimate comfort.
By trapping all the beneficial active ingredients of natural, aromatic waters in its formula, HYDRA FLORAL acts like a "drip feed", gradually scaling its active process in three steps to:
1) immediately relax the skin and quench its thirst,
2) provide deep replenishment,
3) continuously moisturise the skin.

Can your whitening range lighten pigment spots ?
The Decléor whitening range is designed to stabilise the activity of melanocytes (the cells responsible for pigmentation) thanks to a whitening plant-based complex composed of extracts of grapefruit and Japanese white mulberry (Sohakuhi) that lightens and fosters "depigmentation".
For "in-depth" action to help pigment spots fade away, we have developed a complement to WHITENING AROMESSENCE™ and WHITENING DAY CREAM SPF 12: WHITENING POWDER COMPLEX, an intensive treatment containing pure Vitamin C.

How can I exfoliate my oily, sensitive skin ?
Caring for oily, sensitive skin means using a gentle treatment. The last thing you want is to sensitise your face by using aggressive products in order to reduce shine.

To rid fragile skin of impurities and excess sebum, you should use products that are gentle, velvety soft and adapted to your skin type.

Treat your skin to PURETE EXFOLIANTE micro-smoothing gel once a month. The mechanical action of the apricot micro-particles, provides precise yet gentle exfoliation. The face is cleared of sebum and dead cells, and the skin becomes soft and radiant.

Do you offer special beauty salon treatments ?

This is our art and talent of accompanying our customers for whom beauty is synonymous with balance and well-being. This fundamental approach is called the Decléor face and body CARE PHILOSOPHY. I live in a small town. Is it possible to order your products by mail ?
Decléor does not market its products by mail. The brand identity based on Aroma-Skincare and the Salon treatment approach necessitates and requires knowledge of our brand and the perfect mastery of our skincare techniques.
